It’s cozy and casual décor makes you feel like you just stepped into grandma’s cottage for a cup of coffee and her famous buttermilk pancakes. Their menu is pretty consistent with your typical brunch plates, such as a thick cut French toast with locally made maple syrup and a chicken biscuit almost the size of your face! Then there is the specials menu which changes up weekly. Seasonal surprises on the special menu are items like pumpkin pancakes and pork belly eggs benedict, which I highly recommend. With each bite, you can taste the difference in flavor of the fresh ingredients versus the “other guys” .
The staff is just as great as the food. Everyone has their own style and it really feels like you just came to hang out with friends. You can catch the owner and GM working just as hard as everyone else to pre-bus tables and move plates in and out of the kitchen. The team’s synergy is always positive and they make it work in the close quarters they are in. Food comes out within a few minutes of your order and you relax and enjoy a meal custom made for your preference.
There’s nothing like freshly made coffee with a good old hearty breakfast any time of the week. Buttermilk Kitchen is open every day except Monday and each day always expect a wait. It’s well worth it!
