Georgia Grown Pavilion Announced
Atlanta, Georgia, August 28, 2015 – Atlanta Foodservice Expo (AFSE) announced today a cooperation
with Georgia Grown and the Georgia Department of Agriculture which will feature a Georgia Grown
Pavilion on the exhibit floor to highlight local resources for foodservice operators.
The Georgia Grown program is a marketing and economic development program of the Georgia
Fermentation of Food
Fermentation, a type of anaerobic (without oxygen/air) respiration, an energy-releasing process that takes place in the absence of free (chemically uncombined) oxygen. Fermentation results in the breakdown of carbohydrates and other complex organic substances into simpler substances.
