Brunch is a southern tradition, typically on Sunday afternoon when family and friends get together before the hustle and bustle of the week. But imagine a place where you can have good old fashion southern brunch cuisine every day of the week. Introducing Buttermilk Kitchen as a Buckhead staple restaurant for great southern food all made with local ingredients. This house turned restaurant is in the midst of the Northern part of Buckhead off of Roswell Road.
We have been hearing about West Egg Cafe for the longest time from friends and colleagues. It has received much recognition from other various Atlanta publications as ‘Best Breakfast in Georgia’ and ‘Best Breakfast in Atlanta’ for several years. It’s one of the Howell Mill/ Midtown areas go-to brunch and breakfast restaurants. I finally got a chance to experience this place with a client of mine. We came in on a mid-morning Tuesday and was glad to see that the line wasn’t wrapped around the corner like it normally is. There was a good amount of people in the restaurant having brunch but definitely not super busy for a Tuesday.
Chick A Biddy opened at Atlantic Station in the Fall of 2013. It is a new casual eatery that serves farm fresh chicken and sides. The restaurant has a 21st century diner feel, with bursts of white and yellow colors throughout.
The menu is quite simple; it’s all about the chicken cooked any and every way you could think of. Wings, chicken tenders, crispy chicken salads, fried chicken and rotisserie chicken to just name a few. The sides list is pretty extensive including the classic favorites of collard greens, mac ‘n cheese and baked beans.
